What does Wald.ai do?

Wald secures employee conversations with AI assistants. It is offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that boosts employee productivity by providing access to cutting edge AI assistants while ensuring that confidential data remains safe. Wald helps users get immediate answers to their most complex questions whether it is writing emails, drafting memos and presentations, analyzing documents and even writing code. Wald analyzes every prompt like a human would and determines if it contains confidential data or sensitive intent. If it does, Wald transforms the prompt such that the intent of the user query is retained but redacts all PII and other confidential data before sending it to the AI assistant. When the assistant provides a response, Wald reinserts the sensitive data so the user gets a ready to go answer.

Which assistants can I use with my Wald subscription?

We currently provide access to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Imagen and a privately hosted version of an open source assistant for more complex queries. We currently offer the latest versions of these assistants and it is our intent to continue to add new versions as they become available.

How secure is Wald?

Security is our top priority. We encrypt all conversations with customer supplied keys which means that no one outside your organization can ever access your data, not even Wald employees. Wald anonymizes user and enterprise identities so they are never revealed to the AI assistants. Wald operates inline to empower users to leverage conversational AI responsibly while minimizing the risk of data leaks. Wald understands not just what information is being leaked but why information is being used and the potential harm if it gets leaked. This way, the focus remains on truly sensitive prompts while keeping everyday tasks flowing smoothly. Striking the right balance between security and usability is key to achieving this goal.

Can I use Wald to ask questions about my internal data?

Yes. You can upload documents like pdfs etc. and ask Wald questions or for help with search and summarization. These documents are hosted in Wald’s infrastructure and fully encrypted with customer keys. These encrypted documents are only accessible to users within your organization and no one else.

Is there a limit to the number of files and the file size of documents I can upload to Wald within the Chat interface?

We currently allow users to upload up to 10 files of 50MB each. We may change these limits over time based on advances in technology and the possibility of improving the quality of responses.

Is there additional latency when I submit my prompt before I get a response?

Wald needs to scan the prompt and make transformations in real time to ensure that no sensitive data is leaked to the assistant of your choice. This process can add minimal latency before we send the prompt to the assistant for a response. Maintaining a seamless user experience is of paramount importance to us and we continue to reduce the  latency of processing.

Can I switch between assistants during a conversation?

Wald allows you to switch assistants at any time and your entire conversation history (devoid of any confidential data) is provided to the new assistant as context for you to continue your conversation without starting from scratch. You can also compare results for the same query across multiple assistants in the Wald user interface.

What enterprise management features does Wald support? How do I add team members to my Wald subscription?

When you subscribe to Wald, you are the designated administrator for the account. You can access the admin console via your profile icon. The console allows you to monitor usage via a dashboard, manage users and privileges, set data retention policies, and view your audit logs.

Wald offers simple scalable plans, our all-inclusive enterprise plan is priced at $19.99/seat and for larger teams we offer a tiered pricing.

How secure is Wald?

Security is core to Wald's design. We're built for regulated industries, with enterprise-grade safeguards such as SOC 2 Type I and II. Enterprise customers can access fine-grained admin controls to manage AI usage at scale.

Does Wald store your data?

No, Wald has a zero data retention policy that can be changed by you depending on governance policy for your industry.

Who has access to my data?

With end-to-end encryption, your data is accessed only by those you have authorised. No Wald employee can ever see or access your data.

What's the cancellation policy?

Based on your concerns, we help make the cancellation process simple, just email our team.

What payment methods does Wald support?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. We also support invoicing for leaner teams.

We need to change the number of people in our team. How will that work?

You can add or remove users as needed, the seat will be charged till the end of the month before such changes come into effect.

Does Wald offer Enterprise plans?

Privacy FAQs

What information do you collect about me?

We collect both the information you provide directly, such as when you create an account, report issues, or submit queries, and automated technical information like your IP address and device details when you access our services. We also collect feedback and communication information when you interact with us.

How do you use my information?

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve our services, process payments (if applicable), communicate with you, prevent fraud and abuse, and resolve disputes. Detailed purposes are outlined under Section 4 of our Privacy Policy.

How is my data sanitized and protected?

At Wald, we prioritize your privacy and security. We utilize advanced security measures and proprietary sanitization techniques to ensure that your sensitive information remains protected. We do not access or retain your original prompts; instead, we work only with sanitized versions to generate outputs. We sanitize prompts by removing or replacing sensitive information with generic details by deploying encryption techniques and multiple security measures to ensure privacy before processing them for outputs. Your original prompts remain confidential and are not accessible to any external parties.

Does Wald share my information with third parties?

We only share your information with service providers when necessary or desirable to deliver our services effectively. In certain circumstances, such as corporate transactions or legal obligations, we may be required or compelled to disclose your data. We do not sell your personal information for any purpose. Who has access to my data?

Access to your data is strictly limited to you and your organization’s authorized administrator. Wald, Wald’s personnel, and external Assistants, such as Anthropic and OpenAI, only have access to sanitized prompts and outputs. Other than you and your organization’s authorized administrator, nobody can access or see the original prompts that include sensitive or confidential information.

How long does Wald retain my data?

We retain your data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy. Once the retention period expires, we securely delete your information.

Can I access and control my personal information?

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how to exercise these rights.

How do you handle data breaches?
